Rusty Butcher, CPA
Rusty is the partner leading the HORNE Memphis, TN, office and serves as the firm wide director of HORNE’s financial institutions practice. He serves financial institution clients in an external and internal audit capacity, as well as serving clients in the retail, manufacturing and distribution industries.
Rusty joined HORNE in 2005 bringing significant experience in Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Rusty not only advises his clients in this area, but he is a regular speaker at the Federal Bureau of Investigation for their CPE program regarding these requirements.
Prior to joining HORNE, Rusty worked for a large international professional services firm for seven years in their Memphis, TN, and Atlanta, GA offices.
Rusty attended the University of Alabama and received his degree in accounting from Union University. Further, Rusty attended the Paul W. Barret Jr. School of Banking. He is currently licensed in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee.
