Joe D. Havens, Jr., CPA
Joe is the Partner in Charge of Specialty Accounting Services for HORNE. He is a member of the HORNE Board of Directors and Chairman of its Technology Committee.
Joe joined HORNE in 1984. He has extensive experience in project and engagement management where he has led diverse consulting teams on client service projects for more than 15 years. He co-authored Creating Value: Your 90 Day Plan to Right Tracking Your Career, a book designed to help professionals jump start their careers and keep them on the right track. He has co-authored three additional books during his career with HORNE. He has published numerous articles in national, state and local publications and is a frequent speaker on professional development, strategic planning and time management. Joe served on the Advisory Committee of the Center for Research in Ambulatory Health Care Administration to publish Medical Group Practice Chart of Accounts, first edition, 1996.
A graduate of the University of Mississippi, Joe earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
