Andrew D. McDonald, FACHE
Andrew is the lead physician services consultant in the Nashville, TN, office of HORNE. He works with a team of health care professionals that possess diverse backgrounds in accounting, billing/collections, human resources management, coding and health care management. As a consultant to a broad rance of health care organizations, he is experienced in providing strategic planning, human resource management, financial analysis, IT assessment, marketing planning and general practice management services to organizations in preparing to meet the challenges presented by an ever-changing health care environment.
Andrew has more than 20 years of experience in his health care administration career. He has worked in the hospital, home care and practice management environments. He has been a consultant in the practice management field for more than 15 years while holding adjunct faculty positions with the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and the University of St. Francis. The American College of Healthcare Executives recognized him as a Fellow of the College in 1994, highlighting his commitment to the highest standards of executive performance, community leadership and continuing education for the betterment of patient care through outstanding leadership in health care entities. In his work with faculty at UAB, Andrew’s quality Improvement initiatives were presented to and published by the American Management Association.
Andrew graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in health care management and finance. He received his Master of Science in hospital and health administration.
