Anthony J. Minor, CPA
Anthony is a manager in Specialty Accounting at HORNE LLP. He advises the executive management of the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) Disaster Recovery Division (DRD) with internal controls and risk assessment, financial analysis, regulatory compliance and GAAP accounting in relation to the $5 billion in Hurricane Katrina disaster relief funds.
Anthony joined the Firm in 2008 with 15 years of experience in accounting and audit, primarily focused on internal audit and controls. He built the internal audit function and served as Chief Audit Executive for a large publicly traded manufacturing company. He has a successful record of execution in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, controllership, SEC reporting and information technology (IT) audit and controls including disaster recovery and business continuity. Anthony’s industry experience includes manufacturing, telecommunications (cable), financial services, government and retail. He is also a six year veteran of the United States Navy having served aboard the USS John F. Kennedy.
Anthony holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Old Dominion University and a Masters of Business Administration from New Mexico State.
